WLJ partner Gordon Rather has been named in Lawdragon's 500 Leading Lawyers in America 2007 edition. Lawdragon has been recognized as the most elite distinction available to lawyers and judges practicing in the United States. Members of the annual Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America are selected by a group of veteran legal journalists who cull through reports on tens of thousands of outstanding lawyers practicing in nearly 100 different practice areas. From those, nearly 3000 lawyers and judges are selected as finalists, based on their sustained excellence and role in defining American law. The Lawdragon 500 are selected from those finalists, identifying those at the very top of the day's hottest practices and legal developments.
Mr. Rather, chair of the firm's Trial Team, was named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers list in 2005 and 2006. He has also been named among the Best Lawyers in America every year since 1999. Mr. Rather is a past president of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates and has participated in that organization's Masters of Trial series. He is also the recipient of the Arkansas Bar Association's 2006 Outstanding Lawyer Award, among numerous other professional honors.
