The Pulaski County Bar Association honored Berniece Benjamin Sabb, Wright Lindsey Jennings librarian, with the 2014 Legal Support Professional of the Year Award on May 28 at the Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner.  The award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the legal community.

Sabb has maintained the extensive WLJ library and assisted attorneys in research projects since being hired in 1976.  Throughout her tenure she has implemented literature updates and developed expertise in traditional research methods and in the use of online legal research services, including resources available at the William H. Bowen School of Law and County Law Library.

“Berniece has been an invaluable resource to the firm since the days when we actually used books, and she was a pioneer at our firm in the use of computerized research tools,” said Pulaski County Bar Association president and WLJ partner, Michael D. Barnes. “Over the years she has been the go-to person for a long list of exceptional lawyers, including WLJ founders Ed Wright, Alston Jennings, and Robert Lindsey, former President Bill Clinton, Justice Annabelle Imber Tuck, U.S. Senator Mark Pryor, retired U.S. District Judge Jim Moody and U.S. District Judge Jay Moody, among others.”
